Lake Lumber Co
Hi, I’m Kelvin. I purchased Lake Lumber Co. in 2021, bringing with me more than 32 years of experience in the building materials industry. Throughout my career, I’ve built a reputation on hard work, industry knowledge, and a commitment to doing right by our customers.
As owner and operator, I’m focused on delivering exceptional products, innovative solutions, and a level of service that sets Lake Lumber apart. Whether working with contractors or homeowners, my goal is to ensure every project is supported with the right materials, expertise, and attention to detail.
I’m a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa (UNI), and I’ve always taken a hands-on approach to business—staying involved, building relationships, and continuously looking for ways to grow and improve.
At the core of what we do is trust. I take pride in building lasting relationships with our customers, partners, and community, and in continuing Lake Lumber’s legacy as a dependable resource for projects of all sizes.
Outside of work, I enjoy golfing, boating, and traveling to new places. Most importantly, I value time with my family and making memories with my wife and our four children.

Stephanie
Hi, I’m Stephanie, and I joined the Lake Lumber team in 2022. Prior to that, I worked in healthcare, where I developed a strong foundation in client care and relationship building—values that continue to guide my work today.
Since joining Lake Lumber, I’ve had the opportunity to work in several areas of the business, giving me a well-rounded understanding of how we serve our customers. My current focus includes Human Resources, Marketing, and active involvement in industry organizations such as the Home Builders Association, Professional Women in Building, and BLD Women in the Industry. I enjoy connecting with others in the industry and fostering relationships that support continued growth and development.
Outside of work, you’ll find me staying active—either working out or walking the lake roads. My husband and I also love to travel and experience new places and cultures, and we make it a priority each year to take both a family trip and a trip just for the two of us.
Hello, my name is Kyle, and I joined Lake Lumber in January of 2024 as a sales representative. I have been in the building materials industry for 30 years as a sales rep for Larson Manufacturing. I am excited to meet Lake Lumber customers and help them with their projects. When I’m not working, I’m either fishing, enjoying yard work, or visiting our three kids who have flown the nest.

Hi, my name is Troy. I joined the Lake Lumber team in June 2023. Previously, I was employed in the Tax Department at Casey’s General Store, Inc., and was the controller for Golden Rule Plumbing and Heating. Over the last two years, I have worked on streamlining the accounting processes to help us expand in our current markets, along with setting us up for future growth in new target markets. I am excited to be a part of the growth here at Lake Lumber and help provide my insight as we take on these new market challenges. Outside of the office, you will find me with my young family of 6 (4 kids under 5!!). I’m excited for the adventures to come for my family as the kids get older, and I couldn’t have found a better place to complement my crazy homelife than here at Lake Lumber.

Hello, my name is Ryan. I started with the Lake Lumber Team in the spring of 2023. I’ve worked in construction my entire adult life, and have been around it since I was a little kid. I enjoy helping things get built and improved. I can help you with anything from estimating your project to creating a set of plans for your new home. When I’m away from the office, I’m typically outdoors. My family and I spend a lot of time camping, hiking, hunting & fishing.
Hi, I’m Tyler, Yard Supervisor at Lake Lumber. I’ve been here since 2012. Over the years, I’ve really enjoyed working with our customers and getting to know the people in this community. I do my best to keep the yard running smoothly and make sure folks get what they need.
When I’m not at work, my wife and I stay busy taking care of our livestock. I’m thankful to be part of the team and appreciate everyone I’ve had the chance to work with over the past 13 years.

Amy
Hi, my name is Amy! I joined Lake Lumber in April of 2024. Previously, I worked in the RV industry as a warranty/service advisor/manager for 6 years. When I am not busy restocking and checking inventory and helping customers, I enjoy spending time with my Bernadoodle, Doc Holliday, crocheting, and target shooting with my kids. I enjoy my days at Lake Lumber because they are never the same, and there is always something new and challenging each day.
Hi, I’m Araceli! I graduated from ISU with a degree in Interior Design and enjoy partnering with homeowners and builders to create practical, beautiful spaces while making the design process enjoyable from start to finish. When I’m not working on design projects, you’ll usually find me spending time outdoors with my husband and our three kids. I love crafting and can often be found cheering on my family from the stands at their many sporting events.

Chase
Hello! My name is Chase, and I joined the Lake Lumber team in the spring of 2025. I bring over 10 years of experience in the building materials industry, and I truly believe in treating people the way I would want to be treated. I hope that shows in the service and support I provide to every customer.
At Lake Lumber, I wear several hats — helping with estimating, assisting customers in the hardware store, and specializing in garage doors. My goal is to make sure customers feel confident and taken care of throughout their entire project.
Outside of work, I’ve been installing and servicing garage doors in the area for the past four years after noticing a need in the Earlham community. When I’m not working, I enjoy restoring the 1946 pickup that I inherited from my father — it’s a project that means a lot to me. Most importantly, I love spending time with my wife and our 3-year-old daughter.
My name is Matthew. I have been with Lake Lumber since Feb 2025. I am currently acting as a building estimator and going to school for design. Prior to Lake Lumber, I served as a wildland firefighter, transitioned to the army, and finally settled in framing and building docks on Lake Panorama. I am excited for the growth and direction Lake Lumber is going, and I look forward to this being a long-lived career.

Brandon
Hi, my name is Brandon. I joined the Lake Lumber team in November 2025. I bring over 23 years of experience in the home building industry, with more than two decades spent working for builders, from sales to warranty. In my short time at Lake Lumber, I have come to express professionalism, responsiveness, and a relationship-driven approach to Panora and Des Moines area builders alike. I am thrilled to expand Lake Lumber’s market share to the Des Moines metro by partnering with builders that value relationships and quality. Outside of the office, you will find me in a field or at a court watching one of my four kids. We also love to hike when we get the chance. I have not only found a new, meaningful career here, at Lake Lumber, but I have also found wonderful friends, colleagues, and patrons.
Hi, I'm Austin. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, and I started working at Lake Lumber in 2023, shortly after moving to Panora - my wife's hometown - from Reno, Nevada. Previously, I worked as a licensed funeral arranger. Looking for a change and wanting work that was more physical and outdoors, the lumber yard felt like a natural fit. I started working out in the yard, learning about all the material and making deliveries. When an opportunity presented itself, I moved to a position within the hardware store and eventually found myself in my current role, handling purchasing and monitoring inventory for the lumberyard. Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my wife and our four kids. It's a great community, and Lake Lumber is a great place to work!
